Release the Champion in you.

First, allow me to apologize because my blog posts don't have the comment option. I was disappointed by this, but I am working to get it resolved. I hoped to have had good news to report today, but the tech people didn't get back with me. Hopefully tomorrow.

Hopefully you have begun your fast. If so, congratulation! This is "HUGELY" important to your future. Before Jesus began his ministry, He spent 40 days and 40 nights in the wilderness fasting and praying. He knew that his assignment and purpose in life would require superior strength, energy, wisdom, understanding, patience, and a whole lot of love to complete. We can anticipate our tomorrows, but we don't know what we could face tomorrow. But God does and He is ready to reveal it to you over the next few weeks by revelation from the Holy Spirit. So be prepared to listen tentatively to the Holy Spirit's inward prompting. Don't hesitate for a second to respond to what you think his instructions are. He already know the reason for your fast and want to release the champion in you.

The reason for my 21 day fast and prayer.

I said yesterday that I would reveal one compelling reason for my fast; I am fasting and praying for 'REVIVAL" in our Church. I sense a spark of revival, and I am praying for a full blown Fire by the Holy Spirit. We are going to build our new church in 2020. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise. Doubters will say we won't; the faithless will say we can't afford too. But, I say "Stand Still" and see the Salvation of the Lord. Once it is built then what? Do we go back to church as usual, or do we dedicate our building and watch the Spirit of God rest on our new church with the power of miracles? I can't speak for you, but I don't won't church as usual. I want the latter, not the formal. I want to be in the midst of the healing power of all mighty God doing extraordinary things we didn't know could happen. What about you?

21 days to a "New You"

It is said that if you do something for 21 days it becomes a habit. Well,  this morning I began my 21 day "Daniel Fast." Experience with fasting has taught me that I will be far stronger spiritually at the end than at the beginning. Like you, I am seeking to meet the better me! I need him before I can truly feel "unshakable" this year. Fasting for me is hard no matter how often I do it. Why, fasting afflicts my body. For the next 20 days, I am denying myself food that I previously self-indulged with. My body won't like it and properly never will. But here is the neat thing: Fasting and praying bends our will and strengthens our desire to hear God. You would think being hungry most of the time would just make you angry and mad. Not so, strangely, it really works. It is for this reason that Jesus said that some breakthroughs will only come by "fasting and praying." Don't end this day without knowing why you are taking this journey. You need a compelling reason to deny yourself  of something that you really love. Stand with me; the reward is well worth the journey. I will share my thoughts with you everyday and you can share your experience with me. Let's make it worth the journey. Tomorrow, I will share with you one of my compelling reasons to go the distance.
